Patrik Jaerbyn

Patrik Jäerbyn was on the Swedish Ski Team for 20 + years. Patrik grew up on a hill that was about 800 Feet long and 150 Feet vertical and remained there until he was 17 years old. At 18,  he was invited Tarnaby Sweden Ski Academy, the same town/academy of ski racing stars Stenmark, Parsson , Byggmark and new rising star Magdalena Fjallstrom. Patrik is passionate and loves the sport of skiing and wants to pass on hid dedication and commitment to the younger athletes with the same ski racing dreams.

On 19 December, 2008, Järbyn finished third in a Super G at Val Gardena, Italy and set a new record as the oldest man to score a podium finish in a World Cup alpine race, at the age of 39 years and 9 months. Järbyn broke his own record, set with a third place finish in the Super G at Lake Louise in November 2006 at the age of 37 years and 8 months.  On March 7, 2012, Järbyn officially announced his retirement. His last race was in Kvitfjell on March 4, 2012.  He now lives in Vail, Colorado.
